Simply South brings back Hyderabad’s favourite Onam Sadhya this August

As the famous Kerala festival Onam rolls around this year, Simply South invites Hyderabad to sit down for the Onam Sadhya. One of the city’s first fine dining restaurants to serve the Onam Sadhya, Simply South’s version has, over the years, become something of a cult tradition for Hyderabad’s Onam celebrations. This year, the restaurant is bringing it back to its Jubilee Hills outlet from 25th to 27th August.

Simply South’s Sadhya stands out as it is curated under the consultancy of Homechef Annie, whose Malayali heritage runs through every dish on the banana leaf. At a time when so much of what we eat has drifted away from where it began, Simply South’s Sadhya is a quiet reminder of authenticity.

But Simply South’s Onam Sadhya has never been just about the food. It’s about the whole experience of an Indian festival — the dressing up, the banana leaves, the laughter and the full bellies. It’s a table where strangers become familiar and families come back to something they know, year after year.

True to Simply South’s larger mission of being custodians of South Indian cuisine, this Sadhya isn’t just a meal — it’s a tribute to Kerala’s culinary heritage, served with the same intention and integrity that has defined Simply South’s journey over the past decade.
