Park Hyatt is hosting an art exhibition by Anuradha Thakur – Serene Ecstacy – a series of paintings inspired by India’s rich tribal traditions. The artist Anuradha Thakur says she has closely observed teh tribes, the way they dress, their festivals and dancers, which have been an inspiration behind her vibrant canvas.

Serene Ecstasy – Artist Anuradha Thakur has been recreating the lives and livelihoods of the people of the land, the tribes of India – in all their glory, vibrancy and colours – for a long time now. Anuradha Thakur is exhibiting her works at Park Hyatt.
This is not the first time she is in #Hyderabad for an #artshow or exhibition.
She is showcasing her paintings that are a celebration of the rich traditions of the tribals from across India, whom she visited and studied during her extensive travels.
Anuradha Thakur informed #Fridaywall that the paintings from this exhibition are inspired from the unique festivals that usually involve a whole lot of dance and music. Each of these dance forms are distinct to the tribe, so are the clothes, the jewellery and merriment – which is the common vibe that translates into the space around as you indulge in the riot of colours displayed on the walls.
The exhibition is at the Art Walkway and a few paintings are displayed on the mezzanine floor at @parkhyatthyderabad
She says – here are simple people who are happy despite challenges, who are extremely talented and content in their lives. “I want to showcase this happiness,” she says.
“In Kutch for example water is scarce, yet they are happy with the resources that they have and each house in the area will have a national award winning artists. The tribals are closer to nature and celebrate without holding back. Their dances are beautiful. They try and find joy in their lives without worrying about what they have. “
