Alia Bhatt slows down with fewer films in line-up

For almost a decade, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt was one of the busiest stars in the industry. She would usually have two or three releases every year, often moving from one set to another without a break. She even tried her hand in Hollywood with a small role, proving she was open to projects beyond Bollywood.

However, her pace has slowed down in recent years. At present, Alia has only two films in her schedule. The first is Alpha, a high-profile Yash Raj Films production where she plays a spy. Filming has been completed, and the movie is now in post-production. The second is Love and War, in which she is paired once again with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. This film is still being shot but at a slow pace.

Apart from these two, no new projects have been announced. Unlike in the past, there is no news of her listening to new scripts or signing fresh films, something that has surprised both fans and the media. Alia had earlier said she never liked staying idle and used her free time to read scripts and interact with directors and writers. But it seems that routine has changed.

Alpha is expected to release later this year, while Love and War has been announced for next year. Alia’s last Bollywood release was Jigra in 2023, a film that carried big expectations but failed to impress at the box office. The year before, she made her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone. Though her role in the film was small and drew criticism, it still brought her international recognition.

Fans are now curious about Alia’s next steps. Will she return to her old busy schedule, or is she being more selective about her projects? For now, the audience is waiting to see if Alpha can deliver the success that has eluded her in recent years.
