Big Screen and Streaming: A Week Full of Stories
Audiences can look forward to a busy entertainment calendar this week, with both big screen and streaming platforms offering fresh stories across genres, languages, and formats. From international series to regional blockbusters, the line-up stretches from September 8 to September 14, 2025.
The streaming week kicks off on September 8 with Netflix dropping Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish and the new season of Her Mother’s Killer. September 9 sees more variety with Jordan Jensen – Take Me With You, Kiss or Die, and JioStar’s much-anticipated Only Murders in the Building S5. On the film side, Kannada feature Su from So also makes its OTT debut the same day.
From September 10, content starts rolling in faster. Netflix premieres The Dead Girls and reality favorite Love Is Blind: Brazil S5, while Amazon Prime and MX Player bring Helluva Boss S1 & S2, The Girlfriend, and French drama When Fall Is Coming. The Tamil film Coolie also lands on Prime.
On September 11, Netflix adds Diary of a Ditched Girl, Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black S2, Wolf King S2, and Filipino original Kontrabida Academy.
Theatrical releases dominate Friday, September 12. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1 is hitting theatres. Hollywood titles include The Long Walk, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, Unbroken – Story of Unmukt Chand, and Diary of a Woman. Bollywood contributes Ek Chatur Naar, Jugnuma, Heer Express, Mannu Kya Karegga, Love in Vietnam, and India’s Pride – Imli: The Archer. Telugu epic Mirai arrives both regionally and dubbed in Hindi, alongside a strong regional slate: Marathi (Aarpar, Bin Lagnachi Goshta, Dashavatar), Gujarati (Fari Ek Vaar), Malayalam (Kaantha), Telugu (Kishkindhapuri, Trikaali, Shambhala, Mutton Soup), Tamil (Kaayal, Yolo, Thanal, Blackmail, Andha 7 Naatka, Madurai 16, Uruttu Uruttu, Bomb, Dawood), Kannada (Son of Muthanna, September 10, Middle Class Ramayana, Ramanagara, Maayavi, Green Girl, Nidradevi Next Door, Rakshaka), and Bengali (Kanya, Ami Jokhon Hema Malini).
Streaming on September 12 is equally strong: Netflix premieres Maledictions, Ratu Ratu Queens: The Series, You and Everything Else, documentaries Beauty and the Bester and The Wrong Paris. Prime and MX add Hindi rom-com Do You Wanna Partner and Spanish series Every Minute Counts S2, while Larry the Cable Guy – It’s a Gift brings humor to the lineup. JioStar’s Rambo in Love, Hoichoi’s Bhoot Teriki, Lionsgate’s The Ritual, and Sun Nxt’s Bakasura Restaurant and Meesha round out the week. Netflix also streams Hindi film Saiyaara.
With such a dense lineup, both cinemas on big screen and streaming apps promise viewers a packed week of premieres.
