Big week ahead for film lovers as new releases hit cinemas and OTT platforms

The last week of October 2025 promises to be a busy one for film and streaming fans, with several new titles releasing across cinemas and OTT platforms. Between 27th October and 2nd November, audiences can look forward to a mix of international blockbusters, Indian regional films, and fresh web shows.

Theatrical Releases – 31st October 2025

Hollywood will see three new titles hitting Indian cinemas: Good Boy, Black Phone 2, and Bugonia. Among these, Good Boy is a delayed release, while Black Phone 2 is expected to draw attention as a horror sequel.

Bollywood’s major releases this week include The Taj Story and Single Salma. Meanwhile, smaller Hindi films such as Hi Zindagi, One Two Cha Cha Chaa, and 3rd Eye – Teesri Ankh will also make their way to theatres.

On the regional front, Marathi cinema offers Well Done Aai, Punha Shivajiraje Bhosale, and Tu Maza Kinara. Gujarati audiences get Misri, while Malayalam cinema will present Dies Irae and Swapnasundari. Telugu viewers can expect action-packed entertainment with Mass Jathara, Operation Padma, and Karmanye Vadhikaraste.

Tamil cinema contributes four new releases — Aaryan, Parrisu, Vattakhanal, and Thadai Athai Udai. Kannada films Brat, Kona, Maarutha, and Omen are also lined up, alongside Bengali releases Porii Monii and Shree Durga. Punjabi audiences can catch Madhaniyan, which had its media screening on 26th October.

Additionally, the popular Baahubali: The Epic returns to cinemas as a re-release for fans who missed it on the big screen.

OTT Releases

Netflix leads the streaming lineup with The Dream Life of Mr. Kim (25th October) and four original films — Ballad of a Small Player, Stitch Head, Aileen – Queen of the Serial Killers, and The White House Effect.

Amazon Prime Video adds variety with Hazbin Hotel Season 2 (29th October), the Portuguese drama Tremembé (31st October), and the English-language feature Hedda.

Regional OTT releases include Baai Tuzyapaa (Marathi) and Maarigallu (Kannada) on ZEE5. Apple TV+ introduces Down Cemetery Road and the biographical film Stiller & Meara – Nothing Is Lost.

This week, a highly anticipated film in theatres and several OTT releases ensure audiences have plenty of entertainment to enjoy.
