Popular Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil has admitted that his role in a major South Indian film did not meet his expectations. Known for playing strong lead roles, villains, and supporting characters, Fahadh has impressed audiences in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films.
One of his most notable roles for Telugu fans was that of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, a powerful police officer, in Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun. The character was shown as a strong rival to the hero, and fans expected even more intense scenes between the two in Pushpa: The Rule, the sequel.
However, Fahadh’s character in the second part turned out to be much weaker. Except for a few scenes, Bhanwar Singh did not have a major role in the story. Many viewers felt that the character was made less important to highlight the hero’s role.
Fahadh himself has now confirmed his disappointment. He recently said that he failed in one of his big roles last year, without directly naming Pushpa 2. “I failed in a major film last year. I don’t want to speak much about it now. Sometimes we must let go of things that are not in our control. We must learn from them,” he said.
He also did not take part in any of the promotional events for the film, which made fans wonder about his feelings. Now, his comments make it clear that he was not happy with how the role turned out.
Despite this, Fahadh Faasil remains one of the busiest actors in South India. He continues to act in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films and is also earning well for his work. Fans hope to see him in more powerful roles again soon.
