From Cadbury to silver screen: Aneet Padda’s rise with Saiyaara

Aneet Padda Saiyaara

Aneet Padda has taken Bollywood by storm with her debut film, Saiyaara, which has become a huge hit across India. The simple love story has connected well with audiences, crossing ₹100 crore at the box office in just four days.

Aneet Padda stars alongside Ahaan Pandey, another newcomer, and both have become the talk of the town. Though it’s their first film, their performances have received wide praise—especially Aneet Padda’s emotional role as a young woman suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Hailing from Amritsar, Punjab, Aneet Padda is now being called a ‘lucky beauty’ by fans and media. While Saiyaara is her first film as a lead actress, she has already made her presence felt on screen before. She acted in a web series and several TV ads, which are now going viral again.

Aneet Padda comes from a middle-class family and dreamt of acting from a young age. She started her career as a model and soon became the face of major brands. Her 2021 Cadbury advertisement made her a familiar face, and she later appeared in ads for Nescafé, Paytm, and Amazon Prime.

Her first step into Bollywood was actually a small role in Salaam Venky (2002), starring Kajol. Last year, she played Ruhi in the web series Big Girls Don’t Cry, a boarding school drama. Her role as a rebellious girl earned her a lot of appreciation, and images from the show are now being shared widely online.

Aneet Padda is also known for her music. She recently released a music album titled Masoom, showcasing her talent as a singer.

With the blockbuster success of Saiyaara, Aneet Padda has firmly entered the spotlight and is already being called one of Bollywood’s brightest new stars.
