FUJIFILM India, in collaboration with Apollo Foundation and Upasana Kamineni Konidela, launches a major CSR campaign ‘Find It Early, Fight It Early’ to promote early breast cancer detection and awareness among underserved women in India.

In a significant step toward strengthening women’s healthcare awareness, FUJIFILM India has launched its latest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Find It Early, Fight It Early’, with a sharp focus on breast cancer detection and education. The campaign was officially unveiled in the presence of Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson of CSR at Apollo Hospitals Group, marking a collaborative mission to tackle the persistent stigma and silence surrounding women’s health in India.

This impactful campaign will be implemented across 24 Indian cities, aiming to reach over 1.5 lakh women through structured health risk assessments, sensitization workshops, and grassroots-level outreach programs. The initiative is being executed by the Apollo Foundation, ensuring deep community penetration and local engagement.

“As healthcare leaders, our responsibility goes beyond treatment—it begins with awareness and prevention,” said Upasana Kamineni Konidela. “Too many women are losing their lives because the disease is detected too late. This campaign reflects our shared commitment to reach women in time with the right information.”

Addressing a Silent Crisis in Women’s Health

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research’s (ICMR) National Cancer Registry Program, breast cancer is the most common cancer among Indian women, accounting for 14% of all cancers in women. One in every 29 women is at risk of developing the disease in her lifetime. Despite medical advancements, a lack of awareness, social stigma, and limited access to screening facilities often delay diagnosis until it’s too late.

‘Find It Early, Fight It Early’ is designed to bridge this critical gap by taking awareness directly to communities—especially those in underserved areas. Trained field educators will conduct on-ground awareness drives, educate women about self-examination techniques, help identify early symptoms, and guide them toward timely medical consultations.
