Genelia

Actress Genelia, who won hearts with her cheerful role in Bommarillu, is making a comeback to Telugu cinema after a long break of 13 years. Known for her iconic line ‘Ha Ha Hasini’, she took a step back from films after her last Telugu film, Naa Istam, starring Rana Daggubati and directed by Prakash Tholeti.

Now, Genelia is ready to return. After appearing in a key role in Aamir Khan’s Hindi film Sitare Zameen Par, she is looking for strong, meaningful roles in Telugu and Kannada films. She has said she is even open to giving auditions to find the right characters—a rare move for a senior actress in the industry.

Genelia shared her thoughts in a recent interview: “Many people ask why I, as a senior actress, am giving auditions. But I believe it’s the right thing to do. Auditions help me choose the perfect role and give me a better chance to play powerful characters. I’m happy with this process.”

She is currently acting in a film titled Junior, which will be released on 18 July in both Telugu and Kannada. Genelia plays an important role in the film and hopes it will bring her more good offers in Tollywood.

People in the industry are praising Genelia for her dedication and love for cinema. They say her choice to audition again shows her commitment to quality work and meaningful roles.

Her fans are excited to see her back on screen, and many believe this return will open a new chapter in her career.

Genelia’s re-entry into Telugu films is being seen as a fresh and inspiring move.
