Krithi Shetty

Actress Krithi Shetty, who made a stunning debut in Telugu cinema with Uppena, has shifted base back to Mumbai, sparking rumours about her future in Kollywood and possible Bollywood plans.

Originally from Mumbai, Krithi became a household name in Telugu cinema due to her beauty and natural acting. Unlike many other North Indian actresses, her performances connected well with the southern audience. Many believed she was set to become a top heroine in Tollywood. However, after a promising start, her career didn’t maintain momentum. She has not had a notable hit in Telugu films recently.

With limited opportunities in Tollywood, Krithi turned to Tamil cinema and is currently working on two Kollywood films—Love Insurance Company and Genie. Among the two, Love Insurance Company is gaining good buzz, as it features Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead and is directed by Vignesh Shivan, with Nayanthara producing. Both films are expected to release this year.

Interestingly, it has now come to light that Krithi has moved from Chennai to Mumbai. She had been living in Chennai with her father since beginning her Tamil film journey. The move has led to speculation that she may be exploring new opportunities in Bollywood.

Krithi Shetty made her Hindi film debut with Super 30, alongside Hrithik Roshan. Although the film performed well, it did not open many doors for her in Bollywood. Now, with her return to Mumbai, it seems she may be looking to restart her career in Hindi cinema.
