Aap Jaisa Koi – A new romantic film titled is all set to premiere on Netflix on 11 July 2025. The movie stars R Madhavan as Shrirenu, a quiet Sanskrit teacher, and Fatima Sana Shaikh as Madhu, a lively French instructor. The story follows their journey as two very different people who slowly form a meaningful connection.
The film marks Madhavan’s return to the romance genre and explores not only love, but also family and finding a sense of belonging. Director Vivek Soni, who also worked on Meenakshi Sundareshwar, says the film is about letting down your guard and allowing love into your life, even when it feels uncomfortable or unfamiliar.
Speaking about the project, Soni shared, “Aap Jaisa Koi is about opening up and breaking the barriers we build around ourselves. It’s tender, a little messy, but honest — the kind of story that many people will find relatable.”
The film is produced by Dharmatic Entertainments and brings a mix of humour, emotion, and charm to the screen. Viewers can expect a heartfelt story that looks at modern relationships in a thoughtful and refreshing way.
With the first look already receiving positive attention, fans are looking forward to seeing Madhavan and Fatima together in this romantic comedy. The film will be available for streaming only on Netflix from 11 July.
