The much-awaited Tollywood film Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty and directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, has been delayed once again. Despite high expectations, the team behind the film has stayed completely silent, with no updates or official announcements.
Ghaati has already missed two planned release dates—first 18 April, then 11 July. Now, fans who were hoping for the film to come out on 5 September are likely to be disappointed, as there are no signs of any promotional activity or confirmation.
Director Krish had earlier left the delayed Hari Hara Veera Mallu project to begin work on Ghaati, and the shooting reportedly started off at a fast pace. But for unknown reasons, progress slowed down. Though the makers say post-production work is the reason for the delay, many fans find it hard to believe, as filming was said to be completed long ago.
Adding to the confusion, Ghaati’s team—Krish, UV Creations, and Anushka herself—have gone quiet. There have been no interviews, posters, trailers, or even social media updates from any of them. With no promotions underway, it’s clear the film won’t be releasing in early September as previously speculated.
To make matters more complicated, actor Teja Sajja’s film Mirai is now scheduled for 5 September. If Ghaati was still planning to release on the same day, the team should have started promoting it by now.
Anushka, known for her strong performances, has also been staying away from the public eye. After the success of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, she has not appeared in any events or interviews.
At this point, fans are simply asking for clarity. A clear update from the makers would help end the confusion. Until then, Ghaati remains a mystery.
