- “Venky & I Had a Blast! Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu Will Exceed Every Expectation – Chiranjeevi”
Megastar Chiranjeevi was in a celebratory mood at the pre-release event of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, and his words reflected nothing but joy, nostalgia, and confidence. Calling the film a heartfelt family entertainer, he promised audiences a Sankranti experience that would go beyond what they are imagining.
This marks Chiranjeevi’s first collaboration with director Anil Ravipudi, and the Megastar said it felt less like a shoot and more like a picnic. “Every day was filled with positivity. On the last day, I actually felt emotional,” he shared. He credited Anil for crafting a story rooted in family emotions and sentiment, while consciously bringing back the flavour of Chiranjeevi’s iconic entertainers that generations grew up watching.
According to Chiranjeevi, Anil was clear about his vision from day one. He didn’t want unnecessary experimentation but aimed to reintroduce the vintage Chiranjeevi—something today’s younger audience may not have fully experienced. “Doing that is a cakewalk for me,” the actor said with a smile, adding that the scenes were perfectly tailored to his body language.
One of the biggest highlights of the film is Victory Venkatesh’s extended cameo, making this the first time the two superstars share screen space. Chiranjeevi couldn’t hide his excitement. “Venky and I had a blast. It never felt like acting—we were like two youngsters creating mischief,” he said. He fondly described Venkatesh as a positive, philosophical presence and revealed that the idea of working together was discussed years ago, finally materialising through Anil Ravipudi. “Only Anil could justify this combination,” he added.
The Megastar also used the platform to celebrate the spirit of Sankranti, expressing his wish that every Telugu film releasing during the festival becomes a success. “It is the audience’s responsibility to support all films, enjoy them in theatres, and bless the industry,” he said, calling Sankranti 2026 a season Telugu cinema should never forget.
Chiranjeevi revealed that the film was wrapped up within budget and ahead of schedule, calling that itself a major victory. “Completing a film on time and within cost is the first success. The second success is what the audience will decide,” he said confidently.
He showered praise on the technical team as well. Cinematographer Sameer Reddy earned special mention for making him look his best on screen and for his lightning-fast working style. Music director Bheems was applauded for delivering a soulful yet energetic album. Songs like Meesala Pilla and the Hook Step number, he said, will be a complete treat in theatres. The production design and overall execution added richness without excess.
On a personal note, Chiranjeevi spoke emotionally about co-producer and his daughter Sushmita Konidela, calling her a strong pillar of support. He praised her dedication, hard work, and commitment, saying she lived up to the values he always believed in. “She will feel proud for giving her father such a success,” he said.
Victory Venkatesh echoed the excitement, calling the experience of working with Chiranjeevi unforgettable. Promising that watching them together on screen would be a “total riot,” he described the film as a wholesome family entertainer perfect for Sankranti.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has now released in theatres inviting audiences to celebrate the festival season with laughter, emotion, and nostalgia.
The film stars Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead, with an extended cameo by Victory Venkatesh. Nayanthara, plays a pivotal role.
