Priyanka Chopra Jonas Stuns in Yellow Gown at The Bluff After-Party, Blending Tradition with Couture Flair

Priyanka Chopra Jonas once again captured global attention with a striking fashion moment at the after-party for her highly anticipated Hollywood film The Bluff. The Indian actor-producer, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, chose a vibrant yellow saree-inspired gown that not only turned heads on the red carpet but also reflected her cultural heritage in a modern, couture silhouette.

The statement piece, designed by renowned Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta, takes traditional saree elements and reimagines them for an international audience. The gown, from Gupta’s The Divine Androgyne Spring/Summer 2026 collection, features fluid chiffon fabric, a structured corset-style bodice and an elegant drape reminiscent of a saree’s pallu. A daring thigh-high slit and flowing train gave the contemporary look dramatic flair as Chopra moved through the event.

Chopra shared images of the ensemble on social media, explaining that her sartorial choice was an homage to her character in The Bluff, Ercell Bodden. In the film’s opening scenes, the character is introduced with a dupatta over her head—a symbolic marker of identity and strength—which Priyanka Chopra Jonas subtly echoed with her choice of vibrant yellow and draped silhouette. She wrote that the piece felt like “a saree with a modern twist” when first seen on the couture runway, and that it spoke to both tradition and evolution.

The gown was complemented by a unique designer bag from the luxury brand Judith Leiber. Shaped like a miniature treasure chest, the accessory reportedly carries a price tag in excess of ₹6 lakh and became an instant conversation starter among fashion commentators.

Chopra’s styling kept the focus firmly on the dress’s bold colour and sculptural design. She opted for minimal jewellery and a soft makeup palette, letting the gown’s vibrant hue and architectural tailoring take centre stage. Her choice highlighted a thoughtful balance between bold colour and refined elegance that resonates with her identity as both a global star and cultural ambassador.

The look has sparked widespread discussion across international fashion communities, with many praising Chopra’s ability to bridge Indian aesthetic sensibilities with contemporary haute couture. As The Bluff gears up for its global release on Amazon Prime Video later this month, her sartorial moment will no doubt be remembered as a powerful expression of personal style and cultural pride on the world stage.
