Ohri’s Group collaborates with Qaffeine to introduce a Heartmade Indian café experience rooted in craft, culture, and contemporary hospitality.
Qaffine Boistro Arrives in Hyderabad, blending Indian coffee heritage, inventive cuisine, and Ohri’s Hospitality into a refined, immersive café ezperience.
Hyderabad’s evolving café culture found a new focal point on March 24, as Qaffeine Bistro opened its doors in Banjara Hills, Road No. 10, marking a thoughtful collaboration with the legacy-driven Ohri’s Group. Positioned as a “Heartmade Indian” artisanal coffee destination, Qaffeine enters the city not merely as another café, but as a layered, immersive experience that blends coffee, cuisine, and culture with a distinctly Indian narrative.
At the core of Qaffeine’s philosophy lies an intentional return to origin, of ingredients, of process, and of hospitality. The bistro’s identity is anchored in its signature Baaghini Blend, a carefully composed roast that draws from six of India’s most celebrated coffee-growing regions: Chikmagalur, Coorg, Wayanad, Yercaud, Koraput, and Nagaland. Each terrain contributes its own sensory signature—altitude, soil, and climate converging into a cup that is rounded, gently bitter, and smooth in its finish. Roasted to a medium-dark profile, the blend adapts fluidly across brewing styles, from robust espressos to indulgent milk-based beverages.
The beverage program extends beyond the expected, reflecting both nostalgia and innovation. Familiar comforts like cappuccinos and cold coffees sit alongside inventive creations such as kokum-infused brews and regionally inspired lattes, underscoring Qaffeine’s ambition to reinterpret Indian flavours within a contemporary coffee framework. Notably, the slow-steeped cold brew, developed over 16 hours, highlights the brand’s commitment to precision and patience in craft.
Complementing the coffee is a menu that mirrors this duality, rooted yet experimental. Small plates like avocado sev puri and vada au croissant reinterpret street and comfort foods with global sensibilities, while dishes such as prawn chilli oil and Adana kebabs add depth to the culinary offering. The inclusion of handcrafted Neapolitan pizzas, made using artisan Napoli flour and fully hydrated dough, introduces a textural contrast, light, airy bases with a subtle char, elevated further by a house-special chilli oil.
For more substantial dining, Qaffeine offers open toast sandwiches built on signature ciabaccia bread, a hybrid balancing the lightness of ciabatta with the richness of focaccia, alongside mains that revisit familiar flavours through a refined lens. Desserts, including the Baaghini espresso tiramisu and lavender tres leches, round off the experience with measured indulgence.
The space itself reinforces the brand’s ethos. Designed with earthy textures, natural materials, and warm lighting, the ambience fosters both intimacy and community. Whether through curated corners for quiet reflection or shared tables that encourage conversation, Qaffeine positions itself as a space where people linger, not just for coffee, but for connection.
Backed by the decades-long legacy of Ohri’s, which began its journey in 1976 and has since become synonymous with innovation in Hyderabad’s hospitality landscape, Qaffeine Bistro reflects both continuity and evolution. It is, ultimately, a space where Indian coffee is not just served, but celebrated, with intention, craft, and quiet pride.
As Ms Sonal Ohri articulates, “the vision extends far beyond a single Café, she reflects on how Asia, at its core, has always been synonymous with warmth, generosity, and an instinctive culture of hosting. With Ohri’s Group steadily shaping experiences that resonate beyond regional boundaries, the intent is to take this deeply rooted ethos of Indian Hospitality to a global stage.”
one that Asia has long mastered, and one that brands like Ohri’s are now poised to present to the world with renewed pride and contemporary finesse.
