Ranveer Singh’s next big film, Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is finally getting ready to begin—but not without a few hurdles. Ranveer Singh will play the lead in Don 3, a highly anticipated sequel. Earlier, the delay in starting the project was linked to actress Kiara Advani, who was expecting a baby. Now that she has delivered, many expected filming to begin in December or January, with Kiara joining the shoot a couple of months later.
However, a fresh issue has come up. Ranveer’s current film Dhurandhar is still not finished. While reports earlier claimed that shooting was over and the film would release in December, sources now say that 10 to 15 more days of filming are left. This will likely be wrapped up by August or September.
Besides that, some extra dates are needed from Ranveer for possible reshoots of his scenes. These changes will be based on the first round of editing. Despite this, the makers still plan to release Dhurandhar in December as announced.
Another surprising update is that Ranveer has also signed another project—a zombie action thriller with director Jai Mehta. That film is planned to start in mid-2026. For that to happen, Ranveer must complete Don 3 on time.
Don 3 is being planned on a grand scale, with heavy use of computer graphics and visual effects, which will take several months to complete. Any delay from Ranveer could impact the start of Jai Mehta’s film.
Meanwhile, director Farhan Akhtar is staying focused on another project, 120 Bahadur, while these scheduling issues sort themselves out.
Fans are excited, but it seems Don 3 will need to overcome a few more challenges before cameras roll.
