T-Hub, the world’s largest home for startups, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, to build a structured and long-term startup ecosystem in the State. The collaboration positions Tripura within India’s expanding innovation narrative at a time when the State’s startup landscape is witnessing measurable momentum, with recognised startups growing by an estimated 66% over the past five years across technology, services, and emerging sectors.
Home to over 2,000 startups across deep tech, semiconductors, aerospace, AI and emerging sectors, T-Hub brings proven experience in building scalable startup ecosystems. Through this partnership, T-Hub will work closely with the Directorate of Information Technology, the nodal authority for technology-driven initiatives under the Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Tripura, to design and operationalise structured incubation frameworks, including support for the Incubation Centre and Innovation Park, development of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), acceleration programs, mentor exchange initiatives, leadership workshops, startup showcases, and investor connect platforms.
The partnership was formalised during the official launch of Tripura’s new innovation and incubation initiatives, and marks a significant step in the State’s transition from policy intent under the New Sector Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy to implementation-led ecosystem development. With the inauguration of T-NEST (Tripura Nurturing Entrepreneurship and Startups), the flagship incubation hub, Tripura is entering a new phase focused on strengthening institutional capacity and enabling founders to scale. The collaboration aligns with the New Sector Agnostic Tripura Startup Policy and complements the emphasis placed by the Union Budget 2026–2027 on strengthening entrepreneurship and digital infrastructure across the North Eastern region.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jeya Ragul Geshan B, IFS, Director (IT), Head, Startup Tripura, Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, said, “This partnership reflects Tripura’s deep and strategic commitment to building a future-ready startup ecosystem anchored in robust institutional frameworks and founder-centric support systems. Through this collaboration with T-Hub, Tripura is positioning itself to emerge as a pioneering state and a model for innovation-led governance across the country. By accelerating capacity building, strengthening incubation infrastructure, enabling structured mentorship, and integrating our entrepreneurs into national and global startup networks, we aim to create a sustainable, technology-driven growth engine for the State. This initiative is not merely about supporting startups; it is about transforming Tripura into a hub of innovation, enterprise, and next-generation economic leadership.”
Kavikrut, CEO, T-Hub, added, “The next chapter of India’s startup ecosystem growth will be shaped by how well we can build the regional ecosystems and tap the entrepreneurial talent across the country. At T-Hub, we have built frameworks that help our founders access capital, markets, and partnerships, as well as mentors, for products being built from India for the World. Our partnership with Tripura is a testament to our commitment to building ecosystems that help founders from all regions compete at the global level.”
