Vijay Deverakonda Suriya Karthi

Vijay Deverakonda has shared that he wants to have a brotherly bond like Tamil stars Suriya and Karthi. In the recent Kingdom Boys podcast, while promoting his new film Kingdom, the actor spoke fondly about the famous siblings, calling them his inspiration.

Vijay revealed that when his younger brother Anand Deverakonda decided to enter the film industry, he told him, “Let’s be like Suriya and Karthi.” He admired not just their success in cinema but also their close relationship off-screen.

Surprisingly, Vijay admitted that he didn’t know Suriya and Karthi were real brothers at first. “They looked very similar, so I asked my friends. They told me they are brothers, but I didn’t believe it at first. Later, I found out the truth,” he said with a smile.

The actor said he became a fan of Suriya after watching the film Ghajini. He praised Suriya’s acting and dancing skills and said he wanted to be like him after entering the industry. Vijay also shared that he has tried several times to meet Suriya and Karthi in person.

Now, with his upcoming film Kingdom, Vijay is hoping for a strong comeback after a few box office setbacks. The film is directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri and stars Bhagyashree Borse as the female lead. Music is composed by Anirudh.

Producer Naga Vamsi has said that Kingdom will be on the level of a KGF-style blockbuster, raising fans’ expectations even more. Vijay has worked hard for the film, and audiences are excited to see if this marks his big return to success.
