Vishwambhara teaser blends Baahubali and Anji vibe

A new teaser for Vishwambhara, Chiranjeevi’s upcoming big-budget fantasy drama, was released today, and it has left fans drawing comparisons to a mix of Baahubali and Anji.

The glimpse showcases grand sets, intense visuals and a mythical backdrop, hinting at a film that combines large-scale spectacle with fantasy-driven storytelling. For many, it brought back memories of Chiranjeevi’s Anji while also carrying the visual grandeur associated with Baahubali.

Directed by Vassishta, Vishwambhara has been in the making for a long time, with the team focusing heavily on visual effects. The project faced delays after its first glimpse last year received criticism for weak CGI. Since then, the makers have invested more time and money to polish the final output.

Chiranjeevi himself confirmed that the film will not release this year, but instead hit cinemas in summer 2026. Though this delay disappointed some fans, the team insists it is necessary to ensure the quality matches expectations. Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi’s film with Anil Ravipudi is expected to release during Sankranti 2026, making for back-to-back projects from the megastar.

The teaser release is seen as a key step in rebuilding buzz. Early reactions from fans suggest cautious optimism, with many excited to see Chiranjeevi in a larger-than-life role within a fantasy setting. The scale, costumes and action teased in the footage have already sparked discussions across social media.

With production still underway, Vishwambhara is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Telugu films in recent years. If today’s teaser is anything to go by, the film promises a mix of nostalgia and grandeur — a visual treat that could mark another milestone in Chiranjeevi’s legendary career.
