DCH is the Twin – cities’ premier ‘Not-for-Profit’ English theatre organisation. Established in 1964, it is one of the oldest surviving amateur Theatre groups in the country.
DCH has been consistently working towards its objectives of producing Quality theatre and promoting its popularization and appreciation. Over the years it has infected hundreds of Hyderabadis with the ‘Theatre Bug’ and made them a part of the Theatre fraternity and the DCH family.
Over its six-decade journey, DCH has produced 132 plays and has performed many of its productions in Vizag and Goa. During the Covid lockdown DCH commenced a series of online readings with a viewership from around the globe, as well as online Acting and Theatre appreciation Workshops.
One of DCH’s aims is to enlarge participation in Theatre, and to this end initiated its ‘Newbie’ programme, mentoring interested adults who would like to participate in Theatre but don’t know where or how, and it conducts Workshops and Mentoring programmes for young aspirants.
