What to Watch in the Final Week of January 2026

The final week of January 2026 brings a packed entertainment slate across streaming platforms, television and cinemas, offering viewers to watch a wide range of genres before February’s line-up takes over. From the return of a global streaming favourite to fresh superhero content and new Indian releases, there is plenty to choose from as the month draws to a close.

Netflix headlines the week with the arrival of Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1 on 29 January. The Regency-era drama returns with a new focus on Benedict Bridgerton, whose romantic storyline with Sophie Baek takes centre stage. Known for its lavish production and emotional storytelling, the series is expected to once again dominate online conversations.

Superhero fans can look forward to Wonder Man Season 1, which premieres on Disney+ on 27 January. Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, the Marvel series blends action with a self-aware look at celebrity culture, marking a distinctive addition to the studio’s television offerings.

Film releases are equally prominent this week. Prime Video launches The Wrecking Crew on 28 January, bringing together Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista for a high-energy action-comedy. On the same day, Apple TV+ returns with Shrinking Season 3, continuing its mix of humour and emotional depth with Jason Segel and Harrison Ford.

Netflix rounds off the week with Dhurandhar, an action-crime film arriving on 31 January and starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna. Indian cinema fans also have Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi to look forward to, which releases on 30 January, adding a lighter, family-friendly option to the week’s offerings.

For viewers seeking intense drama, Memory of a Killer premieres on Fox on 26 January and becomes available on Hulu shortly after. Meanwhile, Disney+ and Hulu continue to carry January releases such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, The Beauty, A Thousand Blows Season 2, and the music documentary Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.

Television schedules also see the return of familiar favourites, with American Idol Season 24, Wild Cards Season 3, and Extracted Season 2 all debuting new seasons on 26 January. In cinemas, audiences can catch fresh theatrical releases including Send Help and Mayasabha – The Hall of Illusion, while Border 2 continues its run.

With romance, superhero spectacle, action films and reality television all sharing the spotlight, the final week of January 2026 offers a well-rounded watch-list as audiences transition into February’s release calendar.
