Hyderabad-born Bhavitha Mandava, architecture student turned global sensation as the first Indian to open a Chanel runway show, was recently spotted on a relaxed shopping outing at Shilparamam in her hometown. The 25-year-old “Chanel girl from India” wandered through the arts-and-crafts village, browsing handwoven sarees, handcrafted jewellery, and unique designer pieces, staying true to her roots while showcasing her love for authentic Indian craftsmanship.
She shared a few pictures on her Insta story.

Sitara Ghattamaneni, actor Mahesh Babu’s daughter, shared a picture with Bhavitha along with a heartfelt note for fashion entrepreneur and influencer, calling her the “ultimate Chanel girl” and one of her biggest heroes. In her emotional message, Sitara spoke about how inspiring their conversation was, touching on fashion, dreams, life, and ambition. She praised Bhavitha not just for her glamour and global success, but also for her warmth, intelligence, and kindness, describing her as the epitome of Indian beauty and grace. Sitara ended the note by wishing Bhavitha greater success and expressing excitement to meet her again soon, signing off with “Only love always.”

During her Shiparamam visit, Bhavitha browsed through stalls and boutiques showcasing handwoven sarees, handcrafted jewellery, unique gifts, and quirky home décor items. She paused frequently to examine fabrics, chat with local artisans and designers, and touch the textures of traditional weaves. Her interest in sustainable, heirloom-quality pieces was clear as she selected items with care, reflecting her appreciation for slow fashion and regional artisanship. However, thid visit of her despite sharing it on Insta stories briefly, it seemed like Bhavitha preferred to keep it away from public eye.
