Man Of Masses NTR unveils STR-Vetrimaaran’s Saamrajyam promotional teaser

Saamrajyam

Actor Simbu and director Vetrimaaran are collaborating on a new film under V Creations, produced by the renowned Tamil filmmaker Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The music is composed by ‘Rockstar’ Anirudh Ravichander. The film is titled ‘Arasan’ in Tamil and ‘Saamrajyam’ in Telugu.

The Telugu promotional teaser was launched on social media by ‘Man of Masses’ NTR, who conveyed his best wishes to the team. He praised Simbu, saying, “Simbu’s best is yet to come, and no one can portray him better on the big screen than Vetrimaaran.” Unlike the usual 2–3 minute promos, the ‘Saamrajyam’ team released a promo that is over 5 minutes long.

The promo begins with Anirudh’s gripping background score even before the visuals appear. The opening scene shows Tamil director Nelson Dilipkumar outside a court while a man narrates a story to him. Simbu’s character says, “Sir, what I’m going to tell you is all real. The people killed, the dead, the place, the names, the time, the town, everything is real. But don’t show it like that. You should still put up a card saying everything in the film is fictional.” It is said that NTR would have been perfect for that role.

The scene then shifts to a courtroom, where Simbu appears as an accused in a brutal triple murder case. He pleads before the judge that he never killed anyone and was falsely implicated.

Simbu appears in two contrasting looks. He has a slightly greying beard in the courtroom scenes and appears younger in the flashbacks. The details of the actual case will be revealed in the movie.

Vetrimaaran’s earlier film ‘Vada Chennai’, starring Dhanush, received both critical acclaim and audience appreciation. The ‘Saamrajyam’ promo ends with a line saying, “A story never told to anyone in the world of Vada Chennai.” The Telugu version will be released in association with Suresh Productions. The first schedule of filming is complete, and the second schedule will begin soon.
