Sarab Khanijou

“The Sarab Khanijou man is unconventional yet grounded, eternally young at heart and a seasoned soul. He is someone who is fun, authentic and loves experimenting with different fabrics and colours. Someone who has a classic taste but isn’t afraid to veer to the unexplored and try new silhouettes.”

– says, Sarab Khanijou, founder

Sarab Khanijou

Sarab Khanijou’s brand may be seven years old, but the designer’s legacy dates back to the beautiful hills of Uttarakhand where his great grandfather started the business of manufacturing tweed and opened up his own store in Mussoorie where he sold coats and overcoats. The legacy was carried on for generations and then Sarab decided to move his base and dreams to the plains and thus STITCH was born in 2010 in New Delhi.

Label Sarab Khanijou’s eclectic menswear designs have been donned by Bollywood’s favourite celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Rahul Khanna, Arjun Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, and Siddharth Malhotra to name a few

He began his new chapter and started with a minimal number of coats which eventually transformed into a full-blown collection of blazers, suits etc. He strongly believed in his dream of creating and designing a collection that would not only enchant buyers but give them a reason to celebrate themselves and hold it close to their hearts forever.

Progressing gradually, learning the ropes of the business, understanding the market, the clientele – all the hard work and persistence finally came to fruition and in 2015 he launched his individual design eponymous label. Take on the world in a good Anarkali kurta…

With minimalist, uncluttered lines complementing different body shapes and types, the bespoke western and Indian couture eponymous label embodies a fresh, fashionable, and flamboyant take on menswear.

From geometric elements with experimental forms to drapes and asymmetric styles, the in-house design team spearheaded by Khanijou embraces fresh and modern with a touch of timelessness. In the business of menswear for the past seven years, the eponymous label is young, edgy, and is brave when it comes to experimenting with silhouettes. Intricate needlework accentuated on silhouette-oriented ensembles; the label speaks a contemporary yet classic design language.

Elaborate details, elegant silhouettes, charming hues, and a magnificent appeal, will not only complement a man’s wardrobe but will also add to his charisma. From tuxedos, bundi sets, indo western and sherwanis in pastel colours such as sunshine yellow, sky blue, slate grey and dusty rose to rich, light and breathable fabrics like organza, chanderi, Bhagalpur silk, the label’s luminous creations are quintessentially celebratory. The use of embellishments such as tapes, resham threads, studs, etc. also take centre stage in making every piece a stellar piece of art.

The brand’s most recent Baagh-E-Adan collection, an ode to the Garden of Eden, was aesthetically designed and featured a diverse range of motifs based on the enchanted garden with a dash of architectural references

The brand’s most recent Baagh-E-Adan collection, an ode to the Garden of Eden, was aesthetically designed and featured a diverse range of motifs based on the enchanted garden with a dash of architectural references. Layered with love, the collection was beautifully represented through the use of zari, thread work, which gave the collection a festive feel.

In tandem with the spirit of the brand and the collections, the summer of 2022 will feature an array of pastels and shades of ivory.
