During an exclusive interview she shared her happiness mantra –
My fitness regime
I get up very peacefully after atleast 8 hours of sleep as I feel sleep the top priority. We should have pleasant sleep, rest everything will wait for you. And then I start my day with some yoga and some physical activity and spend some time with my pets. My fitness regime is simple I don’t have any international trainers and all these things, I run, walk and do yoga, breathing exercises. Mostly I’m a nature person. I spend a lot of time interacting with nature and with people.
My Oxygen
And I think helping people is my, it’s like my oxygen, pure oxygen that I survive on. After my family, I think about the extended family who are the citizens of this nation and the world. I always think about what best I can do to the society because I’m in a best position now to be able to help others. And that is how these thoughts keep hitting me. Someone asked what the budget is for this run. I never cared about the budget. I just approach it as an initiative to do; just a thought to implement. Then it pushes itself in the right direction.
Run with Me
We tend to thing we can’t run of we are not into marathons. But, we are all capable of running around 30 to 35 kilometers in a day. Every human is capable of it. We have so much energy within us, that unless we have any major health issues, we can easily run. Moreover this is not a competition only. You can easily run and walk at your pace. A few people run behind you, few and ahead of you. It’s like a game. There is nothing to panic that I am behind in the run.
So you can definitely run 10 kilometers not just 5 or 3 km. Please try. I’ll be with you. You come and join me for the Pink Power Run.
Pink Marathon for Healthy India
So we want to kick start with breast cancer awareness run as October is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We also want to do a lot of health awareness campaigns across the world and mostly in India, in rural areas and everywhere else. Our nation should be healthy, wealthy and top country in the world.
I want rural women to run in the saree and they should win the prizes. And there should not be any difference between rural women and urban women. I think after a few years, even rural areas should be like the beautiful countryside in a western country – developed and healthy.
Peace Mantra
Life is like a game. Whatever possible – you play up to your standards, and up to your capability. Don’t take it so seriously that it will disturb your sleep and everything else. I have a good MEIL family that takes care of work. And we take care of them all the time. Beyond that I am like any other mom, and simple house wife when at home. You can see me meditating, doing puja in a very basic dress.
At the end of the day, we are all humans. It doesn’t matter how wealthy or what position we are holding. I think that is my mantra.
End of the day, we are all humans who are born destined to live happily. That’s it.
