Wedding bells rang in Goa as actress-politician Khushbu Sundar and filmmaker Sundar C celebrated one of the happiest milestones of their lives. Their elder daughter, Avantika Sundar, married Shravan Sreenivasan in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family, friends, and some of Indian cinema’s biggest names.
Although the couple deliberately chose to keep the celebrations private, the guest list reflected the immense goodwill the family has earned over decades in the entertainment industry. Actors Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh Daggubati, Trisha Krishnan, Anil Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff were among the many celebrities who attended the Goa celebrations, turning the intimate wedding into a star-studded affair.
Ahead of the wedding, Khushbu and her family personally met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay to invite them and seek their blessings for the couple. While both leaders were unable to attend the ceremony because of prior commitments, their invitations became widely discussed on social media, highlighting the family’s close connections across both cinema and politics.
However, it wasn’t the celebrity attendance that touched people the most. It was Khushbu’s heartfelt words as a mother. Sharing the first photographs from the ceremony, she wrote:
“We are truly speechless at this moment, for words seem inadequate to express the emotions we are experiencing. As parents, family has always been at the heart of everything we cherish, and we have always believed that marriages are made in heaven.”
Reflecting on the emotional ceremony, she continued:Â

The warmth, affection, and goodwill that enveloped us made the occasion truly magical. Our eyes are still moist, and our hearts are overflowing with happiness and gratitude.”
Khushbu also explained why the wedding remained intentionally small despite the family’s prominence.
“Sometimes, the most beautiful moments are those shared quietly with the people who matter most.”
She concluded her note by introducing the newlyweds to the world:
“As Avantika and Shravan embark on this wonderful new chapter together, all we seek are your blessings, love, and good wishes for a lifetime filled with happiness, companionship, and countless cherished memories. With immense love and pride, we present to you our newly married couple — Avantika and Shravan.”
The wedding also marks the beginning of an exciting new phase for Avantika, who is expected to make her acting debut soon. While she steps into married life, fans are equally eager to see her carve out her own identity in Indian cinema.
