After ‘Saranga Dariya’ Mangli launches new Shivaratri song

After breaking the audio records with her still trending song ‘Saranga Dariya’ in Sekhar Kammula’s film ‘Love Story, Mangli today released her much-awaited Shivaratri song ‘Sadhu Jangama’. A yearly ritual she takes as a matter of great pride to create a new sing every year for Lord Shiva, and every year, the expectation only increases.

Mangli has been invited by Isha Foundation to sing five songs during the Shivaratri celebrations. “As a Telugu girl, and an independent artist, I feel very humbled to be called to sing in front of Sadhguru,” she says, She will sing Shivaratri special song live at Isha

“I am aware of the expectations, so when we work for the song we do it with lot of care. This time I went all the way to Varanasi and shot for the song. We worked hard. Goreti Venkanna gave beautiful lyrics which describe Shiva in a unique manner. The music is amazing. And Damu, who has been with me at V6, and at Mic TV has helped me put it together. I give credit to my entire team for making it so good; I only sang for it,” says Mangli, who has yet another big news to share.

She has been invited to perform at the Isha Foundations celebrations in Coimbatore, and she is super elated to sing at the international platform in front of Sadhguru, a dream she has been harbouring in her heart for a long time.

“Singing songs on Lord Shiva is very special to me. When I heard Ananya Bhatt singing ‘Sojugada Sooju Mallige’ in front of Sadhguru last year, I had tears in my eyes. It is the same feeling I felt when I sang ‘Yendikondalu’. And, I wondered if I will ever get a chance to sing on the international platform. It is a blessing that I not only got the opportunity to sing one but five songs. I feel like I have got everything I wanted, I cannot ask for more,” she shares.

Mangli will include her latest song ‘Sadhu Jangama’ and her extremely popular ‘Yendikondaalu eletoda’ during her Shivaratri performance at Isha Foundation.

“As a Telugu girl, and an independent artist, I feel very humbled to be called to sing in front of Sadhguru,” she adds.
