Sweet Dreams on Disney + Hotstar is a love story that happens for most part in dreams while the rest of the story is about the lead pair searching for each other in real world.
Amol Parashar and Mithila Palkar play the roles of Kenny and Dia – one who is looking out for a steady girlfriend on dating sites and the other with a boyfriend who has already introduced her to his family and she is wearing a ring too. On the sidelines they are dreaming of each other but do not know if the stranger in their dreams is actually there in reality. But we the audience know otherwise, creating anticipation making us relate to the characters hoping they meet, and wondering what would happen if they do.
This seemingly romantic film perhaps leading on to the month of love and upcoming the Valentines Day is in fact treading a very thin story line.
The pair encounter a bunch of opportunities where they nearly miss meeting each other – classic text book material where you know what’s happening next. But the way the expected is handled by director Victor Mukherjee saves the film that goes from one missed encounter to another alternated with one dream after another. Not to mention the charming lead actors Amol and Mithila.

Sweet Dreams Review
The latest Hindi romantic film Sweet Dreams is a good choice for a casual watch on OTT. Young and fresh vibe the film makes up for its flaws with its simple approach that makes you hang on to the narrative despite the cliches until the film reaches its logical end. A bunch of good songs add to the vibe.
