Hyderabad’s cultural calendar lights up with a special Bharatanatyam Arangetram on May 23, 2025, at Ravindra Bharathi, as twin dancers Shivani Nambiar and Shreenidhi Ramaswamy take center stage. Disciples of the illustrious Padma Shri Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant, Director of Shankarananda Kalakshetra, the duo are set to mesmerize rasikas with a performance rooted in rigorous training, grace, and dedication.
Fondly called “the twins” by peers, Shivani and Shreenidhi began their Bharatanatyam journey at the age of seven. Trained in the Kalakshetra style, they have performed across prestigious platforms such as the Khajuraho Dance Festival, International Ramayana Festival in Thailand, Soorya Festival in Singapore, and even for dignitaries like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu.

This Bharatanatyan Arangetram marks their formal solo debut, after years of ensemble performances in acclaimed productions like Sri – The Goddess Within, Navarasa, and Tales from the Bull and Tiger. As the 44th and 45th students of Shankarananda Kalakshetra to perform their Arangetram, they carry forward a proud artistic legacy.
