For Hyderabad’s growing tribe of coffee enthusiasts, the experience of sipping a cup just got deeper, richer, and far more immersive.

Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters has strengthened its presence in Hyderabad with the launch of its second Origins flagship store in Banjara Hills, Road No. 11. The new space marks a significant step in the brand’s expansion, reflecting the city’s rapidly evolving coffee culture and consumer curiosity.
Addressing the launch, Shivam Shah highlighted Hyderabad as a unique market. “It’s the only city where we’ve opened two flagship stores within six months. People here want to understand coffee, not just consume it,” he noted.

The Origins
The Origins format is designed to go beyond the traditional café model. With a focus on “slowness” and mindful consumption, the space encourages guests to explore coffee as a craft, from bean to brew. At the Play Bar, visitors can experiment with seven brewing methods, including Chemex and Syphon, while engaging with baristas on variables like water temperature and grind size.

Speciality Coffee In India
The store also showcases India’s specialty coffee potential, featuring micro-lots scoring above 80 on global standards. Reinforcing a farmer-first approach, the brand emphasizes that Indian coffee, often shade-grown, is on track to rank among the world’s top three in quality.
Complementing the coffee is a chef-curated menu by Auroni Mookerjee, featuring fresh, in-house dishes paired thoughtfully with brews. Breads from Suchali’s Artisan Bakehouse and comfort-driven plates elevate the experience into a full culinary offering.

Blue Tokai’s Coffee’s Expansion
With nine outlets already operational and plans to expand further, Blue Tokai is building more than cafés, it is cultivating a community. Through book clubs, workshops, and tastings, the brand aims to make coffee an interactive, shared culture rather than a quick daily ritual.
