Nutrihub, Indian Institute of Millet Research (IIMR) in association with The Telangana Chef’s Association and Millet Bank successfully organised the Millet Cooking Challenge as a pre event for the National Nutri-Cereals Convention 4.0, on 23rd and 24th September at Novotel Convention Centre

Korra Pindi Vundali using sesame and jaggery pounded in traditional method, kora payasam, Foxtail Millet Handvu, Brown Top Millets Sarva Pindi, Small Millet Adai Dosa, Black Rice Kolukttai, Finger Millets Halwa, Kodu Millet Pongal, Origala Payasam – legacy foods from various regions using the superfood millets featured at the Millets Cooking Challenge. Home chefs and millet entrepreneurs had the opportunity to cook in professional setting at Regency College Hyderabad on September 1, 2022.

Nutrihub, Indian Institute of Millet Research (IIMR) in association with The Telangana Chef’s Association has successfully organized “Millet Cooking Competition’ in two categories – Millets for Millennials and Legacy Foods for Grandma Style Recipes.

The event was conducted as a part of National NutriCereals Convention 4.0, on 23rd and 24th September.

Rajeshwari Ravi Kumari, who made an entire spread of Tamil tiffins, A. Anuradh with her Korra Pindi Undalu and Samanthakamani Nelluri with her millet Sarva Pindi win the second and third prize. That all the three women are budding entrepreneurs being incubated at Nutrihub is inspiring. Chefs Arghya Basu, Jaganath Chinary and Ankit Mathur won in the Millennial segment. Students of Regency Kiran and Manikanta made beautiful Rangolis with Millets and Madhukar won the poster competition.

Dayakar Rao, CEO, Nutri Hub congratulated the winners and said the participants should be contribute to taking millets more into the people. He invited everyone to the NNCC 4.0 being held to the annual event “National Nutri-Cereal Convention, 4.0” where the winners will be felicitated.
