  Rasaranjani presented the Telugu play ‘Ravana Maranam Tharuvaatha’ (After Ravana’s Death) a play by Bahurupa Nata Samaakhya, Visakhapatnam. Written and directed by senior playwright, actor, director SK Misro – the play staged at Ravindra Bharathi explores the idea of what would have happened in Ravana’s Lanka after his death. According to Ramayana, which is primarily the story of Rama and Sita – Lord Rama kills the demon king Ravana. In fact Vibheeshana, who is the reason behind killing of Ravana is made the king of Lanka – and this we know from the epic. The play’s premise is based on what would have happened in Lanka which is already in a turmoil, and the people are distressed. The demon king’s followers cannot accept Vibheeshana as their king. There is unrest and anarchy. The only solution is to dethrone Vibheeshana, and charge him with treason. The cast in the play include BS Murthy, E Adinarayana, Bigadi Sai, K Sambasiva Rao, P Muralidhar Rao, PV Ramana Murthy, MK Nagabhushana Rao, GVSK Kumar, K Srinivas, G Madhavi Latha, P Venkata Ramana, MAhesh, BA Naidu and CH Ashok.
