It was the year 2015, when things were much more simpler at box office, and movies were meant to be released in theatres and if its Sallu Bhai’s film releasing on Eid then it had it had to be even bigger and grandeur overload. It was the year when ‘Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’ released on the big festival day, a tradition of sort when fans in addition to the euphoria of his film releasing, also carry a strong belief that if Bhai’s film releases on Eid, then it is surely going to be a success. And true to the legend the film went on to become a huge success and how. The story of the Pakistani kid who gets lost in India and comes to live with Salman before he goes all out to return her to her home – is a story that made his fans shed tears out of love for him, for the emotion of friendship between the two countries and danced to his songs and loved every bit of what he had to offer.

salman khanIt all started in the year 2009 when ‘Wanted’ released and the dialogues especially – Ek bar joh maine commitment kar di…uske baad toh main khud ki bhi nahi sunta…are etched in the history books of Bollywood for eternity. Interestingly the film is a remake of a huge hit in Telugu with Mahesh Babu in lead – ‘Pokiri’. Fast forward to 2023, its Eid again and Salman Khan is all out there with his film – Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan – and it has its bit of south charm and there is Venkatesh in the film – that’s surely heavy weight south, and there is Jagapathi Babu looking terrifying enough for a villain. Fans are excited despite some mixed feelings about the song that released where Salman is seen dancing in his inimitable style with YoYo Honey Singh.
