Journey of Rythms the new dance choreography by Shivansh Dance Academy explores the sounds and dances of India
Dancers perceive rhythm in all things: rain, wind, waterfall, even breath; everything becomes music when fully surrendered to nature’s embrace. Through this latest project, Shivansh Dance Academy showcased how dancers traveling across the diverse landscapes of India find themselves immersed in a symphony of sounds, through Bharatanatyam.
Each region of India offers its unique musical tapestry, from the soul-stirring melodies of classical Carnatic music resonating within the serene temples of South India, to the lively beats of Chende drums in Kerala. As the elegant dancers of the academy journey through the folklore of Rajasthan and the enchanting tunes of nature in Meghalaya, every destination unveils new melodies and rhythms for dance to embrace.
