In the heart of Hyderabad, a city pulsating with cultural heritage and an insatiable thirst for immersive experiences, DEWAR’S Stay Curious HQ, an initiative by DEWAR’S Xperiences, unveiled an enchanting, multi-sensory extravaganza. Against the backdrop of Gallery78, nestled in the picturesque Shilpa Hills, an evening of spellbinding collaborations, unexpected convergences, and limitless co-creations took center stage. This meticulously curated event merged the worlds of contemporary and traditional artistic expressions, encompassing performance art, dance, design, and more, captivating every facet of the audience’s senses – sight, sound, touch, and taste.

Embarking on an Avant-Garde Journey through Audiovisual Marvels

A seasoned maestro in the realm of music, electronic music producer Murthovic, known as Sri Rama Murthy, has unfurled his symphonies for over 18 years. In a captivating symphony of contemporary dance interwoven with the intricacies of Bharatanatyam, Murthovic, along with Bharatnatyam dancer Anahita Chaliha and Carnatic singer Gopika Jairam, graced the stage with a genre-defying performance named ‘FlowState’. Their performance rendered a narrative through electronic music, ambient vocals, and dynamic choreography, culminating in an unforgettable fusion of cultures and musical dimensions.

In the realm of new media arts, the collaboration of visual artist Aniruddh Mehta and music technologist Myles birthed ‘Overture’. A mesmerizing 14-minute act unfolded, a spectacle of sci-fi abstraction with flashing lights, geometric forms, and organic textures. On the stage of DEWAR’S Stay Curious HQ, ‘Overture’ created an immersive experience that transcended traditional artistic boundaries, captivating the audience with its avant-garde display.

Embarking on a Voyage of Intellectual Exploration

Beyond the realm of artistic marvels, the evening offered an opportunity for intellectual indulgence through the “Curious Conversation”. The event welcomed a diverse range of Hyderabad’s creative minds, spanning art, design, and fashion. Among the esteemed speakers was Nag Ashwin Reddy, a renowned filmmaker celebrated for his contributions to Telugu cinema. His insights into the filmmaking process, garnished with personal anecdotes and behind-the-scenes revelations from his upcoming project ‘Kalki’, painted a vivid picture of the creative journey within the film industry.

Fashion aficionados were treated to an avant-garde installation titled ‘The Futuristic Bride’ by designer Kavya Potluri. The installation masterfully blended elegance with audacity, encapsulating the essence of a modern bride who defies conventions. Through Kavya Potluri’s enigmatic and futuristic design, the installation became a reflection of the evolving bridal aesthetics, setting new trends in the realm of fashion.

Another striking presence was monochromatic artist Sushi Surge, whose live-art showcase ‘City Souls’ delved into themes of identity crisis and the haunting feeling of sonder within bustling metropolises. The exhibit urged the audience to adopt refreshing perspectives and reinterpret their relationship with the world around them.

A Toast to Gastronomic Adventure through Innovative Mixology

Amidst the cultural tapestry, DEWAR’S Mixology Lab offered a tantalizing experience for enthusiasts of highball cocktails. The immersive workshops, helmed by Ishrat Kaur and Wayne Michael Davis from Bacardi India, immersed participants in the art of modern mixology. Attendees were beckoned to uncover the allure of expertly crafted whisky highballs, delving into a world of creativity and innovation in mixology.

DEWAR’S Stay Curious HQ had embarked on its journey in Mumbai on 15th July, and the Hyderabad edition marked the second chapter of this multi-city experiential voyage, promising to enchant and captivate audiences across the nation in the forthcoming months.
