– PATI to host Jaipur Art Week – Edition 5.0 from 27 January to 3 February 2026 in Jaipur
– India’s premier artist-first public art platform returns with its most ambitious edition yet
Against the grand architectural and cultural backdrop of Jaipur – India’s celebrated UNESCO World Heritage City – the Public Arts Trust of India (PATI) heralded the fifth edition of Jaipur Art Week, scheduled from 27 January to 3 February 2026. Widely regarded as one of India’s much-awaited and fastest-growing contemporary art platforms, Jaipur Art Week: Edition 5.0 is set to be its most ambitious and expansive edition to date.
Founded by Sana Rezwan, Chairwoman of PATI and a visionary leader in the arts, Jaipur Art Week has emerged as a national cultural movement, transforming public spaces into sites of artistic inquiry while placing artists at the centre of civic and cultural dialogue. The festival continues to bridge Jaipur’s historic legacy with the urgencies of contemporary artistic practice, positioning the city as a vital node in global cultural exchange.
The 2026 edition underscores PATI’s artist-first and access-led ethos. From 450+ global applications received through its international Open Call, over 100 artists have been selected to present work across multiple venues, historic landmarks, and public sites across Jaipur. The programme features 15+ large-scale solo presentations, alongside a significant Group Show showcasing outstanding emerging artists from leading art schools across India – many presenting at a national platform for the first time.
Artists were selected by a distinguished international jury comprising Anita Dube, Renu Modi, Wood & Harrison, and Aindrea Emelife. Selected practitioners received mentorship from acclaimed artists and thinkers, including Vibha Galhotra, Gigi Scaria, Thukral & Tagra, and Shuddhabrata Sengupta, enabling them to translate conceptual proposals into ambitious, site-responsive works.
Extending beyond exhibitions, Jaipur Art Week 5.0 presents a robust public programme including talks, walkthroughs, and community-facing initiatives, while continuing its commitment to free Proposal Writing Workshops, which supported 600+ artists during the Open Call phase. Through active collaborations with government bodies and cultural stakeholders, the festival reinforces its mission to democratise access to art and foster meaningful engagement with diverse audiences.
With its city-wide footprint, international participation, and strong focus on emerging voices, Jaipur Art Week: Edition 5.0 stands firmly among India’s largest and most significant contemporary art festivals, reaffirming Jaipur’s position as a leading global destination for public art, innovation, and cultural exchange.
