Hyderabad is set to witness a confluence of India’s rich classical traditions with Uttar Dakshin – 15th Season, an annual concert series organised by Surmandal in association with Vivid Arts & Entertainment.
The concert will be held on Saturday, 14th February 2026, at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, commencing at 6:30 pm.
The 15th Season promises an exceptional evening of classical brilliance, featuring an illustrious Jugalbandi between two stalwarts of Indian classical music. Renowned Hindustani vocalist Pandit Jayateerth Mevundi Ji, known for his powerful gayaki and deep-rooted Jaipur-Atrauli lineage, will share the stage with globally acclaimed Carnatic flautist Shri Shashank Subramanyam Ji, celebrated for his virtuosity and innovative approach to the bamboo flute.
Over the years, Uttar Dakshin has carved a unique niche by bringing together maestros from North and South India in inspiring jugalbandis that celebrate unity through music.
Enhancing this musical dialogue will be an equally eminent percussion ensemble, with Shri V. Narhari Ji on Tabla representing the Hindustani rhythmic tradition, and Shri Satish Patri Ji on Mridangam bringing the depth and precision of Carnatic laya. Together, the artists will weave an evening of melody, rhythm, and spontaneous creativity, embodying the true spirit of Uttar Dakshin.
Presented by State Bank of India (SBI), with the support of cultural partners and patrons, Uttar Dakshin – 15th Season continues its legacy of promoting India’s classical heritage while fostering artistic dialogue across traditions.
