With a career spanning decades and nearly sixty films across multiple languages, Rao has consistently redefined cinematic storytelling in India. From the iconic silent film Pushpak to the visionary sci-fi classic Aditya 369, his work has been synonymous with innovation. His celebrated collaborations with Kamal Haasan—including Vichitra Sahodarlu and Michael Madana Kama Rajan—remain benchmarks of creative excellence.
Now, he returns with his dream project, envisioned as India’s first musical fantasy—a genre-defying cinematic experience that blends music and magical realism. Produced by Nag Ashwin under the prestigious banners of Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema, the project brings together a legendary visionary and a legacy production house together finally. The film carries the striking title Sing Geetham, revealed through an engaging title teaser.
Set against the backdrop of a mysterious and isolated village, Sing Geetham follows a young man Prathap whose pursuit of opportunity leads him into a world where nothing is as it seems. As he becomes entangled in forces larger than himself, he is drawn into a conflict between progress and preservation—one that challenges his choices, beliefs, and sense of purpose.

The young lead cast- Ayaan, Ahilya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi, deliver impressive performances, each bringing their own distinct comic timing. Singeetham once again showcases his knack for presenting fantasy through unique concepts while seamlessly weaving in humour.
Ankur C captures the film’s carefully crafted world with striking visual clarity, while Devi Sri Prasad’s blend of eerie and uplifting sounds gives the narrative a fresh tonal identity. Production designer Aravind Mule builds an imaginative universe, and the overall production values appear solid.
