Ted Lasso Season 4
After seemingly saying goodbye at the end of its third season, Ted Lasso is back. Season 4 premiered on August 5 on Apple TV, bringing Jason Sudeikis back as the endlessly optimistic American coach whose unconventional methods transformed AFC Richmond. This time, however, Ted faces a completely different challenge: he returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s football team.
The new season retains the show’s familiar combination of humour, warmth, friendship and emotional vulnerability while shifting its sporting focus. Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift return, while new cast members including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay and others join the expanded story. Season 4 consists of 10 episodes, with new episodes arriving weekly through October 7. Our Sticky Love
For K-drama fans, Our Sticky Love brings together romance, comedy, mystery and crime in one unusually tangled premise. The Netflix series follows Go Eun-sae, an ambitious prosecutor who loses her memory after an incident connected to her investigation. When she wakes up in a rural town with no recollection of who she is, a former boxer-turned-boxing coach named Jang Tae-ha arrives claiming to be her boyfriend.
Played by Ha Young and Jung Hae-in, the unlikely pair are thrown into an increasingly complicated relationship as Eun-sae tries to reconstruct her identity and Tae-ha attempts to protect her while concealing the truth. Beneath the quirky romantic-comedy setup is a darker mystery involving Tae-ha’s criminal past and a dangerous crime boss. The result is a show that moves between small-town warmth, enemies-to-lovers chemistry and noir-style suspense. Our Sticky Love premiered globally on Netflix on August 7, making it one of the week’s major new international streaming additions.
Main Wapas Aaunga
Main Wapas Aaunga, directed by Imtiaz Ali and starring Vedang Raina and Sharvari, takes a much more introspective route into romance. At the centre of the story is Kinu, a Partition migrant whose life remains haunted by the memory of the woman he loved. Even as he lies on his deathbed, the past refuses to loosen its grip, sending him back into memories of a relationship shaped by separation, displacement and the trauma of the Partition.
Rather than presenting romance as a straightforward love story, the film uses memory as its emotional engine. Kinu’s recollections become a way of exploring what happens when historical violence enters an intensely personal relationship. The India-Pakistan Partition becomes more than a historical backdrop; it becomes the force that determines what Kinu remembers, what he has lost and what he is unable to let go of. With Imtiaz Ali at the helm, the film is positioned as a more mature, reflective romantic drama built around longing, loss and the impossibility of completely escaping one’s past.
Lenin
Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhavya Sri Bose, adds a Telugu action-drama flavour to this week’s OTT lineup. The film places Akhil in a more intense dramatic setting, with the story built around conflict, personal stakes and the larger forces that shape its central character.
For viewers looking for something different from the week’s predominantly international or Hindi-language offerings, Lenin provides a chance to explore a contemporary Telugu narrative led by one of the industry’s established young stars. The film’s arrival on OTT also gives audiences who may have missed its theatrical run an opportunity to discover its action-driven world from home.
