Chai is a staple in Indian homes, but there’s more than one way to enjoy its familiar warmth and spice. This National Chai Day, September 21, raise a cup to creative takes on the classic with three recipes to try at home.
Godawan Chai Punch by Godawan Artisanal Single Malt
A spirited take on the familiar masala chai, the Godawan Chai Punch brings together the rich, warming notes of Godawan 02 Fruit & Spice with masala tea, peach and citrus. Finished with soda or ginger ale, it makes for an easy, refreshing punch that puts a fun spin on everyone’s favourite cup of chai.
Ingredients:
• Godawan 02 Fruit & Spice – 200 ml
• Masala tea – 200 ml
• Peach syrup – 60 ml
• Citrus – 75 ml
• Soda/Ginger ale – 500 ml
Method:
• Add everything together in a punch bowl or pitcher and enjoy! The recipe serves 4-6 cocktails.
• Tip: swap out the soda for ginger ale to bring out a new level of flavour.

Dirty Chaï Latte by MONIN
A comforting twist on the classic latte, the Dirty Chaï brings together the warm spice of MONIN Chaï Tea Concentrate with the bold kick of espresso. Smooth, frothy milk ties it all together for a cosy yet energising pick-me-up.
Ingredients:
• MONIN Chaï Tea Concentrate – 20ml
• Milk – 150ml
• Espresso – 1 shot
Method:
• Pour MONIN Chaï Tea concentrate into a cup or mug.
• Extract one shot of espresso.
• Steam and froth milk with a steam wand.
• Add espresso and hot milk into the cup, stir well and serve.

Created in collaboration with Fay Barretto, this Chai Day serve reimagines those familiar tea notes through Assam tea-infused Monarch Brandy, layered with Naga lemon and wild honey, and lifted with lemongrass soda for a refreshing, aromatic finish.
Ingredients:
• Assam tea–infused Monarch Brandy – 45 ml
• Naga lemon cordial – 20 ml
• Wild honey – 15 ml
• Top with Lemongrass soda
Method:
• Add Assam tea-infused Monarch Brandy, Naga lemon cordial and wild honey to a highball glass.
• Shake well.
• Add ice and top with lemongrass soda.
• Garnish with sugar lace with embedded tea leaf fossil.
