Game On producer Ravi Kasturi Interview

Ravi Kasturi: Meet the Australian entrepreneur-turned-producer behind Game On

Newcomers Geetanand and Neha Solanki are pairing up for an action thriller which hits screens in Telugu states on February 2. Dayanandh, the younger brother of Geetanand, makes his directorial debut with the film, produced by their family friend Ravi Kasturi under Kasturi Creations and Golden Wing Productions. Madhoo, Adithya Menon and Subhalekha Sudhakar play key roles too.

In a chat with the media today, producer Ravi Kasturi shared several interesting anecdotes about his career. He was fascinated by cinema right during his college days and wanted to produce a film with his good friend Geetanand many years ago. The team extensively worked on the pre-production and this ensured a seamless translation of the written material onto the screen.

Ravi Kasturi, who has a formidable career as a businessman in Australia, insists Game On is a psychological thriller with a good dose of action, emotion, family drama and commercial ingredients. The story revolves around a protagonist who seeks to end his life though destiny has other ideas. The screenplay is structured more like a game.

The filmmaking experience made Ravi more patient while watching his friend Geetanand pack a punch in front of the camera. He gave a free hand to the first-time director Dayanandh. If Subhalekha Sudhakar’s chivalry on sets humbled him, he was in awe of Adithya Menon’s performance too. Abhishek AR’s music is another asset to the film while Madhoo gets to essay a badass role too.

He was a satisfied man after watching the first copy and promises a thrilling experience on the big screen. Ravi plans to produce more films and says the Game On experience will come in handy. He has already finalised two scripts and will be announcing the projects formally after Game On’s release. Nawab Gang has also composed multiple songs for the thriller.
