First-time filmmaker Rakesh Sreepadha is joining hands with Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, Ugram fame Manikantha Varanasi for a crime thriller titled Old. G Raani is bankrolling the film under Ultimate Cine Planet which unfolds in 2008. The shoot of Old, which is currently wrapping up pre-production formalities, kickstarts this May.
The makers are aiming at a late June release. Commemorating Ugadi, a special concept glimpse was unveiled this week. Promising a raw, authentic crime thriller to audiences, Rakesh Sreepadha shares that Old is an apt title for the film, confirming their plans to start shooting in May and go ahead with a theatrical release a month later.
Aneesh Raj Deshmukh scores the music for the same while Rakesh Sreepadha also writes the dialogues. Anil Chowdhary cranks the camera and Radha Sreedhar is the editor. Senapathi is the publicity designer.
