  • Volunteer Programme: The Volunteer Programme at the Jaipur Literature Festival is a thriving initiative that serves as the core support for its operations. It provides young enthusiasts with an unparalleled enriching experience, allowing them to witness firsthand the intricate process of organizing and managing a festival of this magnitude. A dedicated team of 250 volunteers operates across 25 different departments of the Festival. Volunteer registrations remain open until October 31, 2023.
  • Enrollment and the ‘Friend of the Festival’ Experience: Mandatory online registration for the Festival is available through the Festival website. Additionally, attendees have the option to purchase the ‘Friend of the Festival’ Package for an exclusive and enhanced Festival experience.

Jaipur Literature Festival 2024, marking its 17th anniversary, is set to bring together a diverse global community of writers, thinkers, and speakers to delve into a myriad of literary themes and compelling ideas. Organized by Teamwork Arts, this iconic Festival is scheduled to take place from February 1st to 5th, 2024, at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur.

Continuing its tradition of celebrating linguistic diversity, the Festival will showcase a wide array of languages, including Assamese, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Urdu, and more. The upcoming edition emphasizes the theme “Stories Unite Us,” exploring literature’s transformative power in reflecting society and fostering unity.

Remaining true to its core values, the Jaipur Literature Festival remains a democratic, non-aligned platform that champions inclusivity and freedom of speech. With over 300 speakers across four venues, the Festival continues its commitment to diverse conversations.

The initial lineup of 25 speakers unveiled today includes notable figures such as Anand Neelakantan, Angela Saini, Anuradha Sarma Pujari, B. Jeyamohan, Ben Macintyre, B.N. Goswamy, Brian Catlos, Catherine Ann Jones, Claire Wright, Colin Thubron, Debra Diamond, Devika Rege, Jeff Goodell, Jerry Brotton, Kalpana Raina, Mary Beard, Mridula Garg, Nancy Silberkleit, Nilanjana Roy, Patrick Radden Keefe, Raj Kamal Jha, R.A. Mashelkar, Siddarth Shrikanth, S. Muralidhar, and Tom Holland.

Namita Gokhale, Co-Director of the Jaipur Literature Festival, anticipates a vibrant exchange of ideas, books, and writers in the 2024 edition, describing it as a vintage year with classic themes and contemporary interpretations.

Sanjoy K. Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, emphasizes the Festival’s focus on Indian literature and the celebration of diverse voices. Notable speakers include Sahitya Akademi award recipient Mridula Garg, Assamese author Anuradha Sarma Pujari, Tamil and Malayalam writer B. Jeyamohan, and acclaimed figures Anand Neelakantan and Kalpana Raina. International luminaries such as historian Mary Beard, travel writer Colin Thubron, and translator Tom Holland will also grace the Festival.

The Festival will feature its B2B arm, Jaipur BookMark (JBM), now in its 10th edition, serving as a global hub for literary creativity and industry innovation. Additionally, the Festival will host its flagship heritage evening and the Jaipur Music Stage, running parallel to the literary events.

Entry to the Festival, inclusive of registration, starts at just INR 200 per day.
