Actor Robert Pattinson, known worldwide even in India for his Twilight movie series, will be seen in The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three in 2026. has shared how he became involved in two major upcoming films, The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three. Speaking about the projects, Pattinson revealed that the process was surprisingly simple and very different from the usual long casting discussions.
Pattinson explained that his role in The Odyssey came about through a direct conversation with filmmaker Christopher Nolan. According to the actor, Nolan simply told him that he was planning to make The Odyssey. Pattinson said his response was immediate and enthusiastic, adding that he agreed to take part without hesitation. The actor has previously worked with Nolan on Tenet, and the strong professional relationship between them appears to have played a key role in his quick decision.
A similar situation occurred with Dune: Part Three, directed by Denis Villeneuve. Pattinson said that Villeneuve asked him directly if he wanted to be part of the Dune universe. Once again, the actor did not need much convincing and agreed straight away. Pattinson described the experience as refreshingly straightforward, highlighting how trust in the director made the choice easy.
Both projects are among the most anticipated films currently in development. The Odyssey is Nolan’s ambitious adaptation of Homer’s classic epic poem, expected to feature a large cast and impressive visuals. Meanwhile, Dune: Part Three continues Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s famous science fiction series, following the success of the first two films.
